HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT VOLTAGE CONTACTOR FOR YOUR CONDENSER?
- LOOK AT THE CONDENSER NOMENCLATURE
This can be found on the condenser itself, on a panel.
- CONSIDER YOUR APPLICATION AND THE SIZE OF THE COMPRESSOR
Each compressor needs a different step down voltage, whether 24V OR 120V. General Rule of Thumb is 24V for residential compressors and 120V for commercial applications. For more info, click here.
- DETERMINE IF YOU WILL ALSO NEED A NEW DUAL OR SINGLE RUN CAP
Depending on the wiring of your condenser, you can select a single motor run capacitor or a dual motor run capacitor. To learn more about this, click here.
